To use motorways and expressways in Slovenia you need a digital vignette. There are no more adhesive vignettes available which means you will no longer need to stick the vignette to your windshield. So,  if you are driving a car, camper, or motorcycle with a maximum weight of less than 3.5 tons you need to purchase an e-vignette online. You can conveniently do it through the online shop on our website.

As mentioned, since December 2021 in Slovenia, you can purchase an electronic vignette. The e-vignette also known as e-vinjeta must be purchased and registered on the license plate number of passenger cars, campers, and trucks with a weight of up to 3500 kg.

Motor vehicles with a maximum permissible weight of more than 3.5 tons require the DarsGo on-board unit.

Most Slovenian motorways are subject to tolls. If you are traveling to Slovenia, keep in mind that toll payment is mandatory for using the roads in the country. So, before starting your journey, make sure to buy a vignette.

An e-vignette is an alternative to the traditional adhesive vignette. Vehicles without a vignette may not enter a toll road.

When purchasing the e-vignette, you need to enter the correct registration plate number and country of your vehicle registration, and choose an e-vignette for the right toll class.

Which vignette do I need in Slovenia?

The type of vignette you need depends on the class of your vehicle and the duration of your stay in or travel through the country. There are three vehicle classes (1, 2A/B, 2B). If the height of your vehicle at the front axle from the ground to the hood or windshield is 1.3m or higher, you need toll class 2B; otherwise, toll class 2A is sufficient. Digital vignette options are available for different time periods, including 7 days, 1 month, and one year.
